NY Air Show Soars Back To the Hudson Valley in 2025

Well, we have some good news for you! The New York Air Show returns to the region this summer.

New York Air Show Returns to Orange County in 2025

The Orange County Government announced the return of the New York Air Show to Goshen, New York in 2025 in a press release earlier this week.

In the statement Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus said "We brought the Air Show back for Orange County residents after decades of not having one, and it has become a terrific success, drawing over 12,000 spectators each day.”

This is the 11th year that the New York Air Show has taken over the Orange County skies.

Not only is the New York Air Show an amazing show, but it helps the local economy in many ways too. Director of Orange County Tourism and Film said "“Attracting and hosting these events is incredibly important to our community as they greatly impact our overall economy in positive ways."

Dana adds:

Our local economy, specifically food and beverage, retail, and lodging will undoubtedly experience a significant uptick in sales as we have experienced in previous years.”

 

 

One of The Fastest Fighter Jets In The World Soars into NY Airshow

While there aren't many details on what special performers that will be flying by the Orange County Airport this summer, one of the fastest fighter jets in the world will definitely be on hand.

The F-22 Raptor will be on full display during the upcoming New York Airshow, and according to the press release, it will be putting on quite the show. Orange County Government writes the F-22 Raptor will be "defying imagination as it climbs straight up, stops midair, then reverses towards the ground before flipping the nose around in a summersault at incredible speeds."

The press release goes on to say the F-22 Raptor is the fastest and most maneuverable fighter jet in the world.

Tickets aren't on sale just yet, but its a perfect time to save the date: The New York Air Show  returns to the Orange County Airport in Montgomery on August 23rd and 24^th, 2025.

2024 NY Air Show Brought Spectacular Show to the Hudson Valley Skies

Last year thousands flooded to Orange County to take in the sights at the New York Air Show.

During the 2024 stop, The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew the F-16 Fighting Falcons as well as performances from Frecce Tricolori, West Point Parachute Team, UH-72A Lakota, and others.

There was also a "True War Hero" on display at the 2024 New York Air Show. The legendary C-47 Placid Lassie was on static display.

They added "Unlike many restored warbirds, "Placid Lassie" is the real deal—these very rivets crossed the English Channel and helped shape history."

Who knows, maybe the Placid Lassie will return in to the New York Air Show in 2025.
