I want to start this by saying I don't put my tree up until around December 21st however if you are planning to go old school with your tree you may need to start planing now. I have noticed that more and more people are shopping for old ornaments. I not talking about really old but more like retro types.

It seems more and more people are looking for the old style ornaments that give a tree a feeling of Christmas nostalgia. I have even heard of people going so far as to track down old Christmas lights with the big bulbs and primary colors. I think you can still find them online.

My point is whatever you decide to do you need to make a plan. Even though your tree might not go up until closer to Christmas you can't wait until then to get the trimmings or you may be out of luck. Thrift stores and antiques shops are the best places to find ornaments. You definitely want to be out looking now so you done miss out on the limited stock.

Another great place to look is in Grandma's attic. Chances are there is a special box or two of ornaments that haven't seen the light of day in quite a few Christmas stashed somewhere  in the house. So before you go buying make sure you go hunting through what you might already have in that holiday trunk no ones opened since 1975.

No matter when you put up your tree I hope it turns out as awesome as you envisioned it. Here to a Christmas tree with your originality.
