Newburgh is stepping up its game and adding another great attraction to its waterfront.

The Newburgh Planning Department held its ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday for its new waterfront trail. The trail runs from the City Of Newburgh Boat Launch south to the Newburgh Rowing Club. It runs through seven acres and has some completely killer views of the Hudson River.

If you check out the Newburgh Planning Department's Instagram page, you'll notice that Newburgh Brewing Company has commented on their photo that its their new favorite running path. While it's going to be awesome for that activity, it's also great to just walk the area. Get out and see some birds and breath some fresh air.

If you're feeling particularly spunky, this is a great add on as a start and finish to a run from Newburgh, over the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, and back again. It would be under four miles from the beginning to the mid-point, but that run is going to be FAST coming back down Water Street. (Side note: Could someone ACTUALLY organize a run like that? Because that would be awesome.)

Anyways. The new restaurants on Liberty Street. The Washington Memorial. The ridiculously awesome waterfront and Newburgh Brewing Company. Adding this to the list is making Newburgh a better place to be.
