New Restaurant And Wedding Venue Opening in Ulster County

Ulster County will soon be home to a "new" place for good food, weddings, proms, and more.

Most of us already know that the Hudson Valley is a fantastic place to get married! Not only do we have some of the best scenery anywhere in the country but we are also lucky enough to have a bunch of great wedding venues that have something for everyone. If you are looking for a place to hold your reception we have spotlighted 15+ wedding venues (below) that all have something that makes them special. Before you scroll down to take a look, it appears that we are going to have another venue to add to the list as a once-popular venue is reopening soon.

La Mirage or Villa Mirage

The building located at 423 Broadway (Route 9W), in Ulster Park, NY has had a few names over the years including Villa Mirage, and La Mirage. For many years it was the premiere place for Ulster County schools to hold their proms and for hundreds of Hudson Valley couples to tie the knot. The venue closed in the last few years but according to the new owners, they are really close to reopening under a new name.

Mountain View Mexican Restaurant

We spoke to a member of the Garcia family recently and she told us that they are waiting for some final approvals for the venue and once they receive them they will open their doors. Once they open they plan to offer guests great Mexican dishes in the restaurant and plan to be open for lunch and dinner daily. Mountain View won't be the Garcia family's first restaurant in Ulster County as they also own and operate the popular Sky View Mexican Restaurant located at 237 Forest Hill Drive, Kingston, NY.

Mountain View Private Events

Not only will Mountain View offer authentic Mexican food in the restaurant section of the venue but they also plan to offer a multi-room venue for all types of private events including weddings, proms, birthday parties, and much more. Before the venue closed it was home to the "Hudson Valley’s only sunken dance floor" and could accommodate anywhere from 50 to 300 guests. The Garcia plans to offer anyone interested in booking an event in the private space the ability to choose their own menu and will offer a variety of food options, not just Mexican food.
