New Restaurant Coming to Hopewell Junction

A former Italian restaurant in Hopewell Junction, NY looks to be reopening under a new name and ownership.

If you are a fan of quality Italian food and live in the Hopewell Junction area of Dutchess County, NY you were probably sad when you heard the news that one of the area's favorites closed its doors for good.

Gian Bruno Closes

It's unclear the exact date that the folks that owned and operated Gian Bruno located at 2593 NY-52, Hopewell Junction, NY officially closed their doors but when they did many in the Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill areas were sad to see them go.

Fans of the restaurant always had good things to say when it came to giving their opinions about the quality of food they had when they ate there. One thing I can remember hearing any time someone mentioned the restaurant was that the portion size of their dinners was bigger than almost every other restaurant in the area. We aren't sure what led to them closing but it looks like a new restaurant is coming soon to the same location.

If the new sign is any indication it appears that a new restaurant is coming soon to the Taconic Plaza on Route 52 in Hopewell Junction.

The new sign which appeared recently in the same spot where Gian Bruno's' was located doesn't say what type of food they'll be offering but with the name "Vulajios" many are speculating that they will be offering Italian food when they open.

It is also unclear who will be operating the new restaurant when they open but a comment on a Hudson Valley area Facebook group said,

"Yeah, it's from the family that runs all of the Mike and Joe's in the area, including ours on 82. Should be opening soon."

When the restaurant opens it will join Country Kid's Popcorn, Dunkin', and a few other local businesses off of Route 52.
