Casting Call Looking For College Students in Poughkeepsie, New York

Another day, another casting call. Earlier this week Hudson Valley Casting was sharing a casting call for a local Sullivan and Orange County tourism commercial. Now, the Hudson Valley Film Commission is sharing a new casting call looking for extras for a "fun new streaming show."

According to the casting call posting, they are looking for "all genders and ethnicities (ages 18+) to portray college students." Even better news, it's paid background actor work, no fees, and no experience is required.

The project will film in the Poughkeepsie region from October 14th through the 18th. Those who are interested in casting should submit their information on their website  www.centralcasting.com/fscollege

New Netflix Show Filming in Dutchess County, NY?

We're getting used to all these casting calls in the region, which usually is the first sign that a new project will be filming in the area.

As you saw above the casting call is for a "fun new streaming show" called The Four Seasons. So, as one does...I Googled The Four Seasons and after weeding through Frankie Valli articles, I came across an article from Netflix announcing a new show that will begin production in late 2024.

The show is called The Four Seasons and it's a remake of the 1981 rom-com of the same name. Netflix has ordered 8 episodes of the show that will star Tina Fey and Steve Carell.

Netflix explains that the original Four Seasons was written and directed by Alan Alda and featured Alda as well as stars Carol Burnett and Rita Moreno. The Four Seasons "follows three couples who vacation together every season but whose worlds are upended when one of them divorces."

With that being said, keep your eyes peeled for possible Tina Fey and Steve Carrell sightings in the Poughkeepsie area.
