Is the Hudson Valley becoming a destination for those with a sweet tooth? It could be.

In recent years, we've seen an influx in amazing new candy stores in the region. Of course there's the popular Samuel's Sweet Shop (owned by our favorite local celebs, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Paul Rudd).

Then you have Quincy's Candy Store on Main Street in Wappingers Falls that opened in early 2024 and has offered a wide variety of new candy and throwbacks that have everyone craving the nostalgia.

Quincy's Candy Shop recently opened in Wappingers Falls, NY, and on my first visit, I noticed a handful of throwback candy I haven't seen in a while. What's your favorite vintage candy?

We're also home to some of the BEST chocolate shops like Alps Sweet Shop, Håkan Chocolatier and Krause's Chocolates.

New Candy Store Opens in Poughkeepsie Galleria

It looks like we can add another candy store to the list: IT'SUGAR.

In a Facebook post The Poughkeepsie Galleria shared that as of February 20th, 2025 IT'SUGAR is officially open.

The Poughkeepsie Galleria writes "We're thrilled to announce that IT'SUGAR has officially opened their doors! Choose from hundreds of candies, including fan favorites, retro classics, and even candies you've never heard of!"

You can find IT'SUGAR on the Upper Level near Charlotte Russe.

IT'SUGAR has been in business since 2006 and has a mission to "Provide a Sweet & Humorous Escape from Everyday Life."
