The Adirondacks will be the best place to observe peak foliage this weekend, with 85 percent color change and buttercup, burnt sienna, ginger, carrot, copper, bittersweet, scarlet, rhubarb, and burgundy leaves of above-average brilliance.
Most of the Hudson Valley will see 15-20 percent color change, according to I Love NY. so look for some yellow, gold, orange, and hints of red leaves of average brilliance.
Parks and Trails New York compiled a list of state parks that fall into the zone with the most color:
- Black River Trail
- Burnham Point State Park
- Canoe-Picnic State Park
- Cedar Point State Park
- DeWolf Point State Park
- Southwick State Park
