National Ice Cream Day This Weekend

Nothing says summer quite like a delicious ice cream cone (or cup!). Which is why this weekend is a pretty big holiday.

It's National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 19th. The only way to celebrate is to obviously enjoy your favorite kind of ice cream, obviously, but why not get a special deal on it too?

A ton of chain ice cream stops are offering some pretty great deals to celebrate. And luckily, a few are located right here in the Hudson Valley. FoodandWine.Com has a full list of all the national chains and what they are offering and we're breaking down what we can find in our neighborhood.

Carvel, which has 3 locations in the area (Poughkeepsie, Hopewell and Carmel) is serving up something new. They're introducing their new flavor Vanilla Bourbon Toffee for $1 off any soft served cone or cup.

Cumberland Farms (Newburgh, Cornwall, New Windsor, Hopewell, Middletown, Monroe) is offering $1 off any of Cumberland Farms’ “Ultimate Scoop” ice cream pints by texting SCOOPS to 64827 on July 19th.

Through the Dairy Queen (Hyde Park, Wappingers, Middletown, Newburgh) app you can get $1 off coupon for dipped cones.

Cold Stone Creamery (Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Baldwin Place) are doing a By-One-Get-One deal for My Cold Stone Club membership according to a press release.

So now that we have all the chain ice cream spots covered, we are going to wait to hear about some of our local ice cream shops in the Hudson Valley.
