Every week we take a look at what's new in country music, what some of our favorite artists are up to, or the next concert tour announcement. There's a lot going in country music, 2015 is shaping up to be a great year. It's tough to keep track of it all, so if I miss something, just let me know in the comments below and we'll add it to the list.

Normally we cover events that are coming up, but Eric Church did something so cool this past Saturday night, we have to talk about it. He was booked to perform in Salt Lake City but the flu hit his band, road crew, basically everyone but him. Most artists would have cancelled, but not Eric. He came on, told everyone what had happened and went on to not only perform a 19 song set with just his guitar, but he also promised that they'll be back Memorial Day to perform a full concert with his whole band so they don't miss out. Class act!

Jennifer Nettles made her Broadway debut last night playing Roxie in "Chicago". If you follow her on Instagram, you know how hard she's been working and how excited she is. You can see her in the role until March 29, but here's a peek at how rehearsals have been going.

You could play checkers with Thomas Rhett of Kellie Pickler. The ACM and Cracker Barrel have created the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Country Checkers Challenge for a chance to win a trip to the 50th Annual ACM Awards, April 19 in Arlington, TX. Grand prize winners will join team captains Kellie Pickler and Thomas Rhett April 18 to play checkers for donations to benefit the USO and DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Through a $35,000 donation from Cracker Barrel, ACM Lifting Lives will donate $25,000 to the winning team and $10,000 to the losing team.
