New York State officials have just released the top 10 things that New Yorkers complained about in 2024.

Some might say that New York is a state full of people that like to complain about everything. Yes, we are loud when we have something to say but to say that we complain more than people from other states is preposterous!!

As a I New Yorker I'm confident saying that when we complain about something there's a good reason for it and most times it has to do with us being wronged in one way or another and when we are wronged, we do whatever we can to make sure the business or person wronging us, hears our complaints.

Where to Leave Your Complaints in New York

If you've ever had to lodge a consumer complaint, there are a few ways you can do it. You can leave a bad review for the business online, you can complain to the Better Business Bureau or you can file a complaint with the New York Office of the Attorney General.

Top 10 Consumer Complaints of 2024 in New York

New York Attorney General Letitia James recently announced the top 10 consumer complaints received by her office in 2024, saying,

"It is more important than ever that consumers and small businesses in New York know that my office is on their side and always looking out for their wallets. I encourage everyone to stay vigilant, follow our tips, and contact my office with information about scams and violations of consumer protection laws.”

 

The top complaints include issues such as price gouging of essential goods and services, housing issues, mortgage fraud, and violations of online privacy.
