Stuffed Bagels in Ulster County Go Viral

In 2021, Ali Chetkof and Jeremy Rhodes began stuffing bagels with pizza in their apartment in Woodstock, NY. Next thing they know they're experimenting a stuffing those bagels with different types of foods they enjoy like Buffalo Chicken and Rubens.

Jeremy and Ali shared their new stuffed bagel creation with friends and family, then on social media and that's when the dough got rolling quite literally.

The couple then started selling the stuffed bagels out of their "teeny tiny Woodstock apartment." Since then Moonrise Bagels moved into a bigger storefront in Woodstock and has gone viral. They've even been featured on the Today Show and with nationwide shipping partner, Goldbelly, they've been able to ship Moonrise Bagels to all 50 States.

The Ulster County company has big plans for 2024 including a brand new, 2nd location in Dutchess County.

They go on to share the story of how Moonrise Bagel came to be and the big risk they took when taking over the lease of the sandwich shop across the street writing:

"We took out a small business loan and opened in December 2021 - almost exactly a year after the first Stuffed Bagel was created. We’ve learned a lot in those 2 years — from the amount of power we need, to finding and investing in the right team, and how to ship our bagels nationwide — every day of owning a business is a new adventure and we love it.

50,000 hand-rolled Stuffed Bagel later and they have a second location, adding in the statement:

To date we’ve sold over 50,000 hand-rolled Stuffed Bagels and we can’t wait to bring our Stuffed Bagels to Poughkeepsie later this year. Thank you for believing in us, for supporting us and for loving bagels as much as we do - A&J
