Let's face it this is the summer of heading to our favorite trail for a walk, a run or a bike ride. Not being able to travel has had a lot of us sticking close to home and creating adventures closer to home. Some of those adventures start on the many trails we can enjoy throughout our region. The Hudson Valley is full of amazing trails that can lead us on an afternoon of new sights and challenges.

The Mohonk Preserve is aware that they have many of the trails we enjoy traversing. All you have to do is head to the preserve on any given day to see how man people enjoy the trails and what the preserve has to offer. Well now the Mohonk Preserve wants to offer something for the residence of Ulster County.

Today on their Facebook page they shared a new program for people who live in Ulster County, it is called Healthy Ulster Pass Program 2020. This program invited people who live in Ulster County to visit the Mohonk preserve and receive a free one month pass. In order to receive the pass you will have to prove you live in Ulster County and plan to pick your pass at either Testimonial Gateway Trail head on Route 299 or at the Spring Farm Trail head off Mohonk Road in High Falls. Passes will be available for pick up July 30th through August 2nd from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Passes are limited and only available while supplies last. One person per house hold can pick up passes and the limit is 4 passes per household. Children 12 and under are always free when they are with an adult. The passes are valid through August 31st. Mohonk Preserve asks that everyone visiting the preserve follows their COVID-19 guidelines which include wearing a mask and social distancing.
