The History of the Magical Wing Castle in Dutchess County
In 1970 construction began on a project in Millbrook, New York. That project blossomed into what is now known as Wing Castle. According to the Wing Castle website, the castle is the "brainchild of artists Peter and Toni Ann Wing."
Since then, it has become a gorgeous, magical Bed and Breakfast stay for many, and as Toni Ann Wing tells the website "It has become a live-in art project". The Castle itself was built using 80% recycled materials.
Wing Castle Offering One Day Only Experience in September 2024
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Wing Castle closed its doors to visitors and paused guided tours.
You can still spend the night at Wing Castle, but tours pretty much have stopped since 2020. But there will be a one-day-only special at Wing Castle in September 2024.
Wing Castle announced on Instagram that on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, they'll open up their doors once again for guided tours. But just for one day. They write:
"This will be the only day of 2024 where we are offering a guided tour to the public! $12/person Tour will start at 10 am sharp on Saturday Sept 28th."
