Meet Edgar Eldredge Brett’s New Fur Baby

Country stars and canine companions go way back. Many a pooch has gotten to head out on the road with their country star "human". Shania Twain famously traveled with a whole menagerie including her horse, so Brett Eldredge and Edgar aren't trend setters but they might be the cutest yet.

Dierks Bentley famous traveled with his dog Jake his entire career. Sadly, Jake left us this year and the tributes are still pouring in from fans all over the world.

Something is telling me that Edgar is going to steal hearts along the the way and that Brett is going for "fur daddy" of the year. He recently took video of him teaching Edgar the ropes out on the road.

Brett on stage with Edgar in in the baby carrier did it for me. However, Brett didn't strike me as a guy who would dress up his dog. We will have to see what Halloween brings before casting an opinion.

Taste of Country reported on Edgar's arrival in July, pointing out that Thomas Rhett may have to adjust to his friends new "bro-mance".  I am confident Brett has room for Thomas and Edgar in his life. After all Thomas spends a lot of time on the road with his wife, so it is only fitting that his friend Brett have "family" too.

It appears the the summer is going well for Brett and Edgar, I am sure the holiday card photo is already being arranged.
