Two weeks from now it will be Christmas, and if you aren’t sure whether you’re going to get everything mailed in time or not, here’s a list that might help you out. We've gathered the shipping deadlines for various companies, all with delivery by Christmas as the cut-off date.
If you’re using the United States Postal Service to mail your gifts, to ensure your package arrives by Saturday, December 24, UPS Retail Ground Service deadline is Thursday, December 15, First-Class mail service deadline is Tuesday, December 20, the Priority Mail deadline is Wednesday, December 21, and if you’re really doing some last minute shopping,the Priority Mail Express Service deadline is Friday, December 23. If you're using UPS, Monday, December 19 is the last day you can have something shipped via UPS 3-day service, the UPS 2nd Day air deadline is Wednesday, December 21, and Thursday, December 22 is the last day to use next day delivery to ensure arrival in time for Christmas.
FedEx deadlines are Monday, December 12 for FedEx Smartpost, Friday December 16 is the last day for FedEx Home Delivery and FedEx Ground, the FedEx Express Saver deadline is Tuesday, December 20. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday can still be used as shipping dates with FedEx, but be prepared for the price to increase. In addition, with FedEx you could actually, in some locations, mail something on Christmas Day with their Same Day Shipping, but talk about stress!
