A group of police officers from New Paltz participated in the No-Shave November campaign to benefit the American Cancer Society and exceeded their fundraising goals.

This was their second year participating and had set a goal of $1,800. They managed to blow past their goal by raising a total of $3,185, including $815 raised by Sgt Duke Bunce. Officers Phil Missere, Chief Joe Snyder, Sergeant Duke Bunce, Officer Robert Sisco, Sergeant Pat Koch and Detective Joe Judge all participated, as did Sergeant Matt Sutton and Town Councilman/Police Commissioner Dan Torres who were not included in the pictures below.

According to New Paltz Chief Joe Snyder:

This was another successful fundraiser and I appreciate the efforts of our members as well as everyone that donated to support the American Cancer Society. This was our second year participating and I look forward to participating again next year.

According to No-Shave.org:

The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
