Local Kills are Filled with the Spring Frog Choir
A few weeks back I was able to capture the sound of our local peepers making their spring debut. Now it seems that they are out to stay and have brought along some friends. Tree Frogs, Canadian Geese, maybe even a cricket or two have joined the chorus. The local kills are even noisier than last week.
It seems that all the snow melting and a few extra inches of rain had added to the water level in the area wetlands. That and warmer weather are inviting all of the happy inhabitants of the kill to sing just a little happier and a lot louder.
Since we have sprung forward and the evening light is lasting longer I able to grab this short video. I wasn't able to actually to get a peeper on camera but the Wellies and a self stick set to reverse will be on my next adventure.
