Local Fire Houses offer Breakfast Dinner and Winning

March is officially under way and Spring is just 11 days away. As the days get longer so does the fun list of things to do at our Hudson Valley Fire Houses. Our local fire house's are beginning to ramp up their monthly events. Pancake breakfast, Pasta dinners plus flea markets and more will all start populating our calendars.

These monthly fundraiser are a staple for quite few of our local firehouses. It helps with raising money for services, equipment and other items that these organization need to assist their communities in times of need. And some even benefit special causes like scholarship funds.

March 10th (Sunday) - Big "Irish" Breakfast Buffet  - Held before the parade it benefits the Spring Lake Fire Department's scholarship program. Time: 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Location: 123 Maxwell Lane, Kingston. There will be new menu items including irish soda bread. Adults - $9, Children - $5. Anyone that comes in playing bagpipes eats free along with their drummer.

March 17th (Sunday) - Pancake Breakfast at the Port Ewen Volunteer Fire Department Time: 8am to 5pm. Location: 129 Legion Court, Port Ewen. It is a buffet style pancake breakfast including pancakes, eggs, bacon sausage, hash browns and toast. Adults $8, Seniors $7, Kids under 12 $4.

April 6th (Saturday) - The Highland Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary is holding a Penny Social. Time: 5pm with calling starting at 6:30. Location: 25 Milton Ave., in Highland. Special raffles, door prizes and refreshments. The whole family is welcome.

April 6th (Saturday) - Chicken Parm Dinner at the Esopus Fire Department Time: 5pm to 7pm. Location: 1142 Broadway (9W) Esopus, NY. Cost: $15 per person $25 per couple.
