Lake Katrine Nursing Home Unique Use for Fake Christmas Trees
While most Hudson Valley residents are packing up the holiday decorations and taking down (or throwing out) their Christmas Trees. Well, the staff at Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Lake Katrine had a unique idea for their artificial trees.
On Facebook, Ten Broeck shared that their undecorated Christmas trees were used to create an indoor forest for their residents. Of course, every forest comes with animals! okay, not real animals but the staff created a Deer Hunt for their residents.
Ten Broeck goes on to explain:
What do you do when you have a dozen undecorated Christmas trees? You go reindeer hunting in the forest! Our residents are skilled marksmen and markswomen with Nerf guns. These reindeer didn’t stand a chance!
You can see more photos of the residents "hunting" on the Ten Broeck Facebook page.
