Kingston High School Marching Band Scores Big
It was a HUGE weekend for New York State's largest competitive scholastic marching band!
The celebration continues for the Kingston High School Tiger Marching Band after recently hosting its annual "Fall Fanfare" competition at Saugerties High School and walking away with their highest score of the season.

The 170+ member Kingston High School Tiger Marching Band is currently in one of its best "band" seasons to date as they prepare for the New York State Field Band Championship coming up on October 29th at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Band season is a grueling one for New York State's largest competitive scholastic marching band and after achieving their highest score of the season at Fall Fanfare in Saugerties, NY they are ready for the championships.

The yearly band competition took place last weekend at the Saugerties High School and was attended by five other state and regional bands including the Admiral Marching Band from Arlington High School and hosts KHS Tigers, who scored 87.25 this year which is five points higher than their score last week at a similar competition. The KHS Tiger band is directed by Stephen Garner and Jeffrey Giebelhaus, and their 2023 show, "Apo11o," showcases music from Walt Disney Studios and Elton John according to the school's Facebook page.

Largest Marching Band in New York State
I was unaware that the school marching band at Kingston High School was the largest of its kind in New York State. The KHS Tiger Marching Band is New York State's largest competitive scholastic marching band with over 170 members. Congratulations to every band member and good luck in Syracuse this weekend.
