It has been one of the crazier stories to happen around the Hudson Valley involving a local dentist, an alleged affair and murder.

Murder suspect Gilberto Nunez was released from the Ulster County Jail on $1 million bond Thursday according to the Daily Freeman.

After being released, Nunez was fitted with a GPS tracking device at the Probation Department office on Broadway in Kingston. He is required to wear the tracking device on his ankle until his case is done. He was then taken to his home in Poughkeepsie, where probation officials made sure the monitoring device was working properly.

Nunez’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 30th and until then, the release order will allow Nunez to travel between his home, his Kingston Dental office and his attorney’s office in Manhattan.

Gilberto Nunez was charged with second degree murder back on October 2 for allegedly killing Thomas Kolman of Saugerties on Nov. 29, 2011. Authorities allege that Nunez killed Kolman with a fatal dose of a dental sedative. The prosecution in the case have said that Nunez’s affair with Kolman’s wife, Linda, was the motive for the murder.

A trial date has not been set yet in this case.
