Kid Fire Starters

Did you ever start a fire when you were a kid?

We got talking today on the Wakin' Up with CJ and Jess Show about starting fires as a kid and in being honest, I was a fire starter for a brief time back when I was 11 or 12 years old. I'm not sure if it's a boy thing or not.

I was living in Long Island and was always amazed by matches. I loved the smell of them when they were lit and I remember getting a bunch of packs and lighting one match and then lighting the whole pack on fire. I would do this all the time until one day I was throwing lit matches with my friend Justin in an alley behind a bunch of businesses.

We threw a bunch of lit packs of matches into a dumpster and went on our way. 20 minutes later the dumpster was completely on fire and the fire department showed up to put it out. I wound up telling my mom that I set the fire and after a few hits with the wooden spoon I was grounded for like a month. NEVER PLAY WITH FIRE!!
