Yes, we're still in the middle of summer. But we have to share the good news...One of the best pumpkin patches in America is in our own backyard.

Signs That Summer is Ending Across The Hudson Valley

The signs that summer is coming to an end in the Hudson Valley are rearing its chilly head.

First, Spirit Halloween has already opened up several locations across the region. Local haunted attractions like Kevin McCurdy's Haunted Mansion and The Headless Horseman Hayride have announced their opening dates, plus Stewart's Shops have announced the arrival of their iconic Apple Cider Donuts.

And, of course, the Dutchess County Fair is underway. That's a dead giveaway.

These are all signs that summer is wrapping up and fall is on the way. With that being said, I think we can add a local pumpkin patch being nominated as one of the best in the Nation to the list too.

Does Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson Have the Best Pumpkin Patch in the U.S.?

Another year, another chance at being named the Best in The US. Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson, NY has made the Top 20 list for Best Pumpkin Patches in the Nation.

Throughout the year, USA Today sends its experts on the road to collect data and research regarding local businesses across America. They then compile lists of the "Top 20 Best" in certain categories.

From there, fans can vote daily to narrow down the list to the 10 Best. USA Today says you can find the "perfect pumpkin for carving, roasting seeds, and decorating at Kelder's Farm."

They go on to add that with all the fun farm attractions at Kelder's Farm, guests can make their visit a full-day pumpkin-picking extravaganza!

This year, Kelder's Farm in Kerhonkson landed at the #8 spot. Now, it's up to us to get them to #1. Voting is open now until September 9th.
