Kane Brown proposed to his girlfriend Katelyn Jae earlier this year, and already the couple are hard at work at planning their wedding. But if you ask Brown, it's Katelyn who is doing most of the work.

"She gets upset because she's heard some radio things before where I say I'm letting her do the planning," Brown tells Taste of Country Nights. "I don't really have any input because I'm the type of person ... I put my tux on [and] as long as you're in front of me, I don't care what's there. I let her do it."

Brown reveals that they're aiming for a small wedding, admitting that he doesn't have too many friends. His motto is quality over quantity.

"I don't have so many friends ... I have my friends that I know have been there for me, and then I've got some new friends that I've made, artist-wise," he clarifies.

The "What Ifs" hitmaker met Jae through a man they both worked with, and Brown remembers his fiancee being really shy at first. "She came to one of my shows and the first time I saw her it was the shy giddiness," he recalls. "I didn't know what was going to happen. She lived in Orlando [and] was in Miami. I messaged her on Instagram the next night and said, 'Hey, when are we going to hang out?' and flew her down and she hasn't left since."

The couple's first date was at TopGolf. Katelyn Jae is also a singer, and Brown isn't opposed to a future duet with her, hinting that something may already been in the works.

As for the honeymoon? One of his top choices was recently devastated by Hurricane Maria, so Brown isn't quite sure where they'll end up now. A date for the wedding has not been revealed.
