While K1 Speed is gone, there are many new stores coming to the Poughkeepsie Galleria in the near future.

K1 Speed, a indoor kart racing business has decided to not renew their lease at the Poughkeepsie Galleria. They occupied the space across from the movie theater.

The kart racing company broke the news to it's members this week, announcing the closure through an email.

K1's Poughkeepsie location was their only New York spot, out of their 40 other locations throughout the country.

Jessica Pecchia, Marketing Director, Poughkeepsie Galleria said:

Retail is ever-changing and Pyramid continues to be at the forefront of new and exciting venues in retail environment and this market.  Although K1 Speed has left Poughkeepsie Galleria and some customers may be disappointed, this makes way for new and exciting tenants.  We have Verizon’s new location and 110 Grill restaurant currently under construction, with additional new store announcements coming soon.  As always, Poughkeepsie Galleria prides itself on being an active community partner by hosting hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the year and sponsoring numerous events in the market, as well as being a strong economic driver in the market with over 2,000 employees and tax contributions to Poughkeepsie and Dutchess County

We look forward to what is to come at the Poughkeepsie Galleria.
