The Hudson Valley is filled with a wide variety of restaurants. Residents enjoy supporting local businesses and trying new food.

The Hudson Valley welcomed a new Italian eatery in Orange County, a nutritious restaurant at a Sullivan County resort and an expansion of a popular business in Ulster County, NY.

Already, Hudson Valley foodies can look forward to a new restaurant opening in 2024. In Orange County, NY a premier sushi and seafood spot will open, bringing new flavors into a new year.

As we reflect on 2023, we may think about some of our favorite restaurants where we enjoyed food in the Hudson Valley.

Some of the most flavorful food, welcoming presence and enjoyable experiences have been at my local Mexican restaurants. I always enjoy the beautiful atmosphere, tasty cocktails and the sense of feeling as a part of their family.

What Hudson Valley Restaurant Do You Think Should Have Made The List Too?

Being a foodie in the Hudson Valley makes it difficult to choose some of your favorite restaurants. Each county has their own go-to spots with delicious food, comfortable ambience and friendly staff. Depending on what the guest is looking for or their preference will result in their own opinion who should have made the list.

Personally, I believe the following three Hudson Valley restaurants should have made the list.

1) Melzingah Tap House

554 Main St, Beacon, NY 12508

Melzingah is a staple in Dutchess County, NY. During the warmer months, I enjoy sitting outside enjoying the bright string lights that create a welcoming experience and refreshing and unique cocktails. Their pretzel bites pair well with their wide variety of full bar options on site.

This Hudson Valley bar has the same name as Beacon's original name.

My favorite option at Melzginah's is their cheese board, it's filled with tasty cheese options and served with homemade pairings.

2) Dos Amigos II

33 Wallkill Ave, Wallkill, NY 12589

With the expansion of their second restaurant, Dos Amigos II is now open. During my meal, I enjoyed the beautiful, bright murals on the walls and mouthwatering food options. Their welcoming staff made my experience even more incredible.

My favorite option at Dos Amigos II is their vegetable quesadilla, it was one of the most flavorful one's I have ever had.

3) Creekside Bar & Bistro

1128 NY-32, Rosendale, NY 12472

If you're in the mood to have your meal overlooking a beautiful creek then choose this spot. However, during the winter months guests can dine inside with a calming atmosphere. With lunch, dinner, dessert and cocktail options, you'll leave feeling full of great quality options at Creekside Bar & Bistro.

My favorite option at Creekside Bar & Bistro is their Southwestern Chicken Wrap.
