There is no need to travel out West to get the experience of sleeping in the wilderness with Wolves. You can do it right here in the Hudson Valley. If it turns out you like it then you can invest in the trip to Yellowstone but for now why not create a trial run. The Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) is now booking their Sleep with the Wolves Events. The first date you can reserve is April 27th.

Sleep with The Wolves is a chance to camp out overnite with the 20 wolves that live at the WCC. They howl, their are circling vultures and all of the night noises that the woods can make waiting for you on this great nocturnal experience. You must reserve in advance and the WCC will provide tent for groups of 2 or more. If you are coming alone you need to bring your own tent. Space for each date is limited and dates book up fast so reserve your spot now.

When camping outdoors it’s necessary to take precautions in order to prevent serious infections, especially Lyme disease. Lyme disease is an infection caused by bacteria and is spread by the bite of a deer tick. Not all deer ticks are infected, so not all tick bites will cause the disease. Despite this, the key thing to be aware of is prevention. Download and print prevention flyers offering great tips
