I got into the radio business because I'm a people person and I love to talk. You can take a look at any of my past report cards a lot of the teachers wrote "too talkative."

With everything going on with the Coronavirus pandemic, social distancing, quarantine, and New York on Pause we've all had to adapt to a new lifestyle. For people like me who love socializing, this was tough.

However, with all of that being said, I need to make a statement: Video calls suck.

Especially when it's more than 5 people. It's driving me absolutely nuts. What's the point? We can't hear each other at all, everyone is always talking over each other and if there are more than 6 people you can't see everyone on the same screen.

Is it just me?

I'm not proud of this but I have pretended my phone died or I've lost service just to get out of a big group video chat.

Don't get me wrong, I love talking to my friends. The app House Party is super fun because you can play games.

YouGov is reporting that a recent survey says 48% of people feel energized after a video chat with friends, while 29% feel drained afterward.

I'm part of that 29% for sure.

One of my friends recently took part in a Zoom Bachelorette party. I'm going to have to put my foot down right there. If you're throwing parties on video chat, you have to know that half of those people feel uncomfortable and don't want to be there.

I know I'm not alone here. Maybe it's the quarantine talking, but quite frankly I'm over video chats. I need human interaction STAT.
