Intoxicated Massachusetts Man Crashed Car in Putnam County After Driving 3 Times Over Legal Limit
Police say an intoxicated Massachusetts man was arrested after he crashed his car in Putnam County, left the scene of the accident, and was later found to be over 3 times the legal limit of intoxication.
On Sunday, Town of Kent Police responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle crash on Whitepond Road. Officers say they found a 1997 Lexus with front end damage in the middle of the roadway.
The driver, 35-year-old Yevgeniy Gorodetskiy, of Lynn, MA was located a short distance away. He allegedly failed a series of field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest and charged with a DWI and leaving the scene of an accident.
Gorodetskiy was additionally charged with aggravated DWI when his blood alcohol level was determined to be .26%. He was arraigned in Kent Town Court and remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash $2,000 bond. He’s due to reappear in court on May 17.
