Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week Christina Boryk, the Executive Director for Rebuilding Together Dutchess County, stopped by our studios to get us caught up with all that has been going on with the organization. They had a successful National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 30. They and their teams of volunteers and trade professionals were able make a big difference in the lives of 7 homeowners as well as Family Services, a non-profit here in the Hudson Valley who help many families and individuals every day.

Their 24th Annual Golf Tournament is coming up May 26 at Dutchess Golf, and there's still time to get involved. Plus, mark your calendar for September 22 and their 10th Annual Comedy Night.

She also spoke about their Toolbox heroes, local tradespeople who help them with their mission of a safe and healthy house for everyone, Handyman program, and how a NY Grant program ‘Access to Home’ is enabling them to help even more families here in the Hudson Valley.

If you need help, or know someone who might, please call them at 845-454-7310.
