In Touch: Poughkeepsie Public Library District
Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.
This week, Tom Lawrence, Library Director of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District stopped by our studios to update us on all that has been going on with the library, and to talk about the many and varied programs they have coming up in the next few months.
As I often joke when Tom comes in, I simply introduce the show and he takes it from there, he has so much to cover every time he stops by. This week, he talked about the collaboration between the library district and the FDR Presidential Library and museum in Hyde Park, the next Big Read, summer reading programs for kids and adults, and something new coming soon the ebranch. Without further ado, here's this week's In Touch.
Each week, we have different non-profit organizations from around the Hudson Valley come in and talk about all that they are doing to make our communities better paces to live. In case you missed any of our past shows, here's some of those interviews.
