This week on In Touch we had the opportunity to learn more about an important event taking place in the Hudson Valley in June. The 11th Annual Hudson Valley World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is being held at the Dutchess Community College's Drumlin Hall fro 9 am to 3 pm. The event is free and open to the Public on Friday June 14 2019. Space at the conference will be limited so please register in advance by calling the Dutchess County Office for the Aging at 845-486-2555.

We were joined in the studios by Dana Pavelock Vice President of Provider Relations and Development at Evercare at Home Certified Home Health Agency and Patricia Sheldon the Director of Adult Services for the Department of Family Service in Dutchess County who are helping create awareness to this important topic.

Each week, In Touch, our public affairs show takes a look at issues in the Hudson Valley.  We talk to the news makers in the region to get an in depth perspective on these issues. If your organization or group would like to be a guest on In Touch please contact us at 845-471-1500. In Touch airs Sunday mornings across the Townsquare Media Stations within the Hudson Valley.
