Poughkeepsie set an all-time weather record yesterday, but can we expect the warm trend to continue?

The National Weather Service confirmed this morning that Poughkeepsie was the warmest it's ever been for Feb 20. Thermometers hit 63 degrees, blowing away the old high-temperature record of 56 set back in 2002.

After two brutal back-to-back winters, the Hudson Valley has had it easy this year. While I search for some wood to knock on, it should be noted that we are only a few weeks away switching over to daylight savings time. On March 13 our clocks will spring back, and while it's not a scientific fact, weather observers note that the time change usually ushers in the beginning of Spring weather.

The extended forecast calls for more mild weather this week, with highs in the mid to upper 40s and lows only in the 30s. The average lows for this time of year is usually in the teens.

Are you grateful for the mild Hudson Valley winter we've had this year or are you disappointed that we haven't seen much snow? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
