I am such an owl fan. I am like a kid when I hear them at night around my house. This time of year there is a good chance if you are out near the woods you will hear an owl. Barred Owls and Great Horned Owls are very common in the Hudson Valley. Just last night at my house two Barred Owls were chatting back and forth. It adds such a great acoustic element to cool fall nights. The crickets and tree frogs maybe gone but the owls will fill the space.

I am certainly not the only owl fan in the Hudson Valley and the proof of that is an event that will be returning to The Hoot Owl Restaurant next month. There are coming back by popular demand, live owls at The Hoot Owl in Pine Bush. Mark your calendars for  Saturday October 26th when Annie and her owls will return giving owl fans a chance to get up close and personal. Not an owl fan no worries Annie will have other raptors with her as well.

Bring your cameras, curiosity, and dress appropriately for the weather. The owls will be outside from 12 PM to 3 PM. Delicious food and drink will be available inside. Enjoy favorite snacks like Horseradish & Bacon Deviled Eggs, Crispy Fish Tacos and more. You might want to wait to enjoy the wings another day. The Hoot Owl is located at: 26 Awosting Rd, Pine Bush, NY 12566 (between Gardiner and Pine Bush) call ahead for more information (845) 670-HOOT (4668)
