The list is growing longer as fall grows closer on what you can do to support your local fire department.
Not everyone has time or the talent to volunteer, but you can always make time to attend a firehouse fundraiser. If your firehouse has an upcoming event, be sure to let us know about it so we can get the word out.
Sunday, September 7th, 2025 - The Marlboro Firefighters invite you to join them for a delicious Pancake Breakfast hosted by Marlboro Hose Company No. 1 at the Marlboro firehouse, 14 Grand Street, Marlboro. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. There will be sausage, eggs, pancakes, coffee, tea, juices, and a 50/50 raffle. Breakfast goers are also welcome to tour the Marlboro firehouse and see all the fire equipment up close. Donations will be appreciated.

Sunday, September 7th, 2025 - The Washingtonville Fire Department is having its 2nd Annual Car, Bike, and Truck Show at Vern Allen Park, 200 East Main Street in Washingtonville, from 9 AM to 2 PM. The vehicle registration fee is just $15. Enjoy food vendors, trophies, 50/50, corn hole, and music by DJ Hot Rod.

Friday, September 12th, 2025 - Ulster County Hose Company #5 Ladies Auxiliary Spaghetti & Meatball Dinners to go, which you pick up at the firehouse at 830 Ulster Avenue in Kingston between 4 PM and 7 PM. Tickets must be purchased by September 4th, and they include salad with Italian dressing and butter rolls $10 each. Bake goods will be available for purchase for dessert.
Saturday, September 20th, 2025 - The Washington Heights Fire Company is holding a Chicken BBQ. Enjoy a dinner comprised of a Half Chicken, Pasta Salad, Baked Beans, Roll, and Water from 2 PM to 5 PM. This dinner is sponsored by Quality Heating and Cooling. Tickets are $20. Saturday, September 20th through Sunday, the 28th, 2025 - the Patterson Fire Department is having a book sale starting Saturday, the 20th and running through Sunday, the 28th. Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM to 4 PM, and Monday through Friday, noon to 6 PM. Donations are being accepted now through Sept 13th. Drop-offs go in a designated POD next to the firehouse on Route 311 near Burdick Roaf in Patterson. Read what will be accepted and not accepted here.
Saturday, September 27th, 2025 - Putnam Lake Fire Department is holding A First Annual Touch A Truck and Fire Safety Event. Everyone is invited from 10 AM to 3 PM to Green Chimneys, 400 Doansburg Road in Brewster. The event will be in the Otter Lot (by the Swamp). This is an exciting family fun day filled with trucks and important fire tips. Plus, you can meet your local firefighters and first responders.
