Hudson Valley Drive-Thrus Are Packed
Most of us like fast food sometimes and these lines prove it.
We have done all we can here at the Wolf to keep each and every one of you up to date on whats's going on across the Hudson Valley during these really crazy times. As we move through "Phase One" of the reopening of the Valley, many of you have been stuck at home for over two months and might not have noticed but WE love fast food.
I mean we love it to the point that some of the lines that are at some of the fast-food places across the Valley are super long! Now they are long for a reason of course, with all restaurants having to close down the sit-down dinner parts of their restaurants, the only way to get a quick meal is to go through the drive-thrus and the traffic has gotten crazy.
Have you been stuck in a drive-thru traffic jam?
It's happened to me a few times but the worst one so far was when I took my kids to Starbucks on Route 44 in Poughkeepsie across from Adams in Poughkeepsie last week and we waited in line for our drinks for 27 minutes. Now don't miss understand me, I'm not complaining about it because to me long lines are a sign of things slowly getting back to some sort of normalcy and I'm craving that!
The longest line I've seen in a while was the winding and weaving drive-thru line at the Dairy Queen on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls. When I drove by the other night it looked like cars were all intertwined in a maze, all waiting for some frozen treats.
What is the longest you've waited in a drive-thru traffic jam in the last few months? Call or text us through the Wolf app and if you can do me a favor the next time you're in line, snap a quick picture of the line and send it to me through the Wolf app.
