Hudson Valley Based Film Festival Draws Stars To The Area
The Hoboken International Film Festival has found a home in the Hudson Valley. Friday night the stars were out to honor actor Louis Gossett Jr. with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The Times Herald-Record reports the Film Festival will run through Thursday.
This is the second year in Greenwood Lake after moving from Middletown. The City of Middletown and the festival couldn't come to terms on a new deal after spending four years there. The HIFF is now in its 13th year overall. Sponsor money was raised to cover the cost of putting the show on.
They will be showing around 150 films total over the week-long festival. Friday' nights opening night had a sold-out crowd.
Gosset Jr. is known for his work in movie and TV including 1982's Officer and a Gentlemen and the Iron Eagle movie series. His acting career has spanned over five decades.
