Help Wanted: Kingston Police Department

It seems that in the world today not many places are hiring so when we come across a place that's hiring, we do what we can to spread the news. According to the Kingston Police Departments Facebook page they are getting ready to hire a few new officers.

The post states that if you or someone you know is interested in serving the community and becoming a police officer they are now accepting applications for, "police officer and a Spanish speaking police officer."

Obviously becoming a police officer is NOT just a fill out an application process, it involves a few different steps that applicants need to follow in order to be considered for any position and the Kingston Police Department is making it easy to apply.

Here are some important dates if you're interested in applying to become a KPD officer, they will hold a virtual information session on Wednesday March 3rd at 6 p.m. where they will discuss all of their open positions, they'll talk about the exam, and everything that comes along with being employed with KPD.

Other important dates include, the physical agility exam which will take place on Saturday April 10th, a written test preparation course will be on Wednesday April 21st and the written exam will be given on Saturday May 15th.

If hired, the Kingston Police Department compensation package includes a starting salary at around $50,000 a year, plus a ton of benefits and a tuition reimbursement program.
