
Head-On Crash Kills 1, Injuries 2
A head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in the Hudson Valley killed one person and left two others injured.
On Tuesday around 1:15 p.m., deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-car crash on Route 22 in Southeast.
A northbound car collided head-on with a car traveling in the other direction on Route 22, just north of the Milltown Road, police say.
The male driver of the northbound vehicle was killed. The female driver of the other car and a male passenger were transported by ambulances to Danbury Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The identities of the crash victims haven’t been released.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated. Parts of Route 22 were closed for several hours on Tuesday.
