The SPCA is looking for the public's help with info on woman who abandoned a Hudson Valley cat.

According to The SPCA of Westchester's Facebook page, they are trying to identify the woman in this video, who abandoned a white male Persian cat in a carrier at Northwind Kennels in Bedford on Monday.

The cat that was left behind was severely neglected as the SPCA said that the hair on the cat was so thickly matted all over his body, it interfered with his mobility as well as his bodily functions.

The SPCA veterinary team wound up shaving the cat and the fur that came off of the cat weighed two pounds.
