First the first time in weeks, we're not talking about Taylor Swift and that Ticketmaster debacle.

Although there are tons of Hudson Valley residents mad about not getting their Eras Tour tickets, Taylor Swift has some deeper ties to the mid-Hudson region.

Taylor Swift's Ties to The Hudson Valley

We know that the Hudson Valley is crawling with celebrities. Taylor Swift might be the biggest name we've heard of in the area in the last few years, but she makes her visits quick and quiet. Most recently, Taylor filmed Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions for Disney + in Hudson, New York which came out in November of 2020.

Swift's most infamous visit to the Hudson Valley was a trip to Fishkill Farms in the fall of 2010. At the time Taylor was dating actor Jake Gyllenhall and the two were spotted doing a little apple picking then later broke up.

That break up lead to the song All Too Well off Taylor's album Red where she sings:

Oh, your sweet disposition
And my wide-eyed gaze
We're singing in the car, getting lost upstate
Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place
And I can picture it after all these days

If that ain't a Hudson Valley mention, I don't know what is. But this all leads me to my next point/theory...

Did Taylor Swift Film 'All Too Well' in the Hudson Valley?

Back in 2021, Taylor Swift released Red (Taylor's Version) along with a 10-minute version All Too Well. Along with the 10-minute version, Taylor directed an All Too Well short film starring Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink.

After I watched it fully through 37 times, I was CONVINCED that parts of the short were filmed in the Hudson Valley.  "An Upstate Escape" I mean can she make it any more obvious?! Taylor is an extremely method artist. So it would make perfect sense that she filmed that little part about "getting lost upstate" in the upstate she was singing about.

Brewster + T. Swift?

A Swiftie saw and heard our HV/T.Swift conversation and did some serious sleuthing for us. Tina wrote in and explained that there were 2 local catering companies that Taylor Swift productions used while on set, Ledley Food Service out of Brewster and  Odeen’s BBQ in Ridgefield.

They wouldn't use those caterers if they weren't in the area right?! I digress. In an interview during the Tribeca Film Swift said, as reported by Page Six:

I’m really secret agent-y about people not finding out about what we’re making while we’re making it.

The singer goes on to say they filmed around New York City. But maybe she was secret agent-y and traveled upstate. What do you think?

Take a look at her latest behind-the-scenes video below and you can be the judge:

Plus, Taylor lives in NYC so heading out "upstate" for work purposes makes sense. Check out her breathtaking NYC apartment below!
