The recall is being done due to potential burn hazards.

According to WTEN, the company ISO Beauty has announced the recall of about 73,000 hair dryers because of an issue with the cord that can burn users.

The company said that the cord of the Ionic Pro hair dryers can get brittle near the base of the dryer and could cause burns and that they have received 35 reports of dryers sparking or smoking, as well as 2 reports of flames coming from the hair dryers, and three reports of users getting burn injuries on their hands or fingers.

The recalled hair dryers have “ISO” or “Proliss” printed on the bottom rear of the dryers and the model number HD-1820. The dryers were sold in the following colors: black, white, white pearl, peacock, white zebra, pink leopard, blue, and giraffe.

If you do have a recalled dryer, stop using immediately and contact ISO Beauty at 800-490-5919 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or online at isobeauty.com.
