Why is This New Paltz Restaurant Celebrating
I was happy to see that there is a business in New Paltz celebrating its two year anniversary on the heels of the news that another New Paltz business, the 3rd in a week announced its closure.
It was just a few days ago when word broke that a third New Paltz eatery was closing its doors. Ruby in the Tops Plaza appears to have suddenly closed. They even took the sign off the building already in a plaza that has been known to have signed up after a business leaves.

Ruby's closure announcement was the third New Paltz business to announce it was closing in as many weeks. At the end of last week Huckleberry, a favorite eatery and cocktail spot announced it would be closing soon, and the week before we got the overnight news that Village Pizza had closed.

So It was wonderful to see that a business in the heart of the Village of New Paltz announced that they are celebrating their anniversary this weekend with the hope of many more. The Gunks Gaming Guild & Cafe is celebrating its second anniversary and from the comments on social media, it looks like the celebration set for Saturday is going to be well attended.
Gunks Gaming Guild & Cafe is a place where for the last two years people have gathered to play games, meet people, and enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. Everything from Clue to Dungeons & Dragons gets played at the Gunks Gaming Guild & Cafe.
They are open Tuesday through Sunday most days 9 AM to 10 PM.
