Get a Birds Eye View of The Hudson Valley From a Hot Air Balloon
Get a birds eye view of the Hudson Valley in one of the coolest ways possible, or is it the hottest way possible?
The Empire State Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held this year July 6, 7, 8 at Barton Orchard in Poughquag. General Admission tickets are on sale now for $7 online at $10 at the gate. Military and First Responders pay $5 at the gate.
While you'll be able to check out the hot air balloons launch all weekend, you have the chance to enjoy your own hot air balloon ride. It's a $50 deposit for each person going on the ride, then $150 the day that you schedule your ride.
A few things before you get on your hot air balloon ride:
- You will be asked to sign a liability and hold harmless waiver upon arrival.
- Please be aware that you must be physically able to climb in and out of the balloon basket. Unfortunately Hot Air Balloons are not Handicapped Accessible.
Balloon Flights are dependable on the weather and pilots discretion.
- Launches maybe moved up or moved later depending on the weather. There are times when it might appear perfect for a launch on the ground, but just slightly above the trees the wind is too much for balloons to launch.
- Various Balloons can hold a certain number of passengers which can vary from 8 to 2 and are also dependent on basket weight. While we will do whatever we can to keep everyone in your party in the same basket, it's not always possible.
Tickets are on sale now for your own personal hot air balloon rides this July at Barton Orchards.
