This Hidden Frozen Themed Bathroom in Poughkeepsie Is Magical
Dinner, Drinks and a View at The Governess in Poughkeepsie
In July of 2024, The Governess opened their doors on the waterfront in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The new bar and restaurant took over the building where The Ice House used to stand. It's quite frankly the perfect location, right on the banks of the Hudson River.
The Governess is part of ESS Hospitality group and there are 2 other sister restaurants with similar vibes: The Baroness and The Huntress, both located in Queens.
Keep these restaurant names in mind we'll get more into what they have hiding right under your nose. Before we get there though, we have to talk about the ladies room at The Governess.
Sounds strange, but stay with me...
Hidden Gem: A Frozen Themed Bathroom in Poughkeepsie
Over the weekend I took part in a bar crawl across the City of Poughkeepsie. One of the stops on the crawl was The Governess.
After enjoying a fantastic Espresso Martini, I needed a bathroom break. I walked into the ladies room and was hit with a wave of blue neon lights and the sounds of Let it Go flowing through the speakers.
Que The Minnie Frozen Museum at The Governess. It's exactly what you think it is. A bathroom decked out in Frozen decor with Let it go on repeat.
I loved it and so did my bar crawl group. It's not every day you see a bathroom with a fun theme. Take a closer look at some of the details below:
