Free Fishing Clinics to be Held in The Hudson Valley

For those who love to fish, everyday is a good day to go fishing. If you've never tried it, but always wanted to, you're in luck. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be holding a series of free fishing clinics throughout the state starting this month.
All of the events are designed with the whole family in mind and you can fish for free; no freshwater fishing license or enrollment in the Recreational Marine Fishing Registry is required.
Not only will you add to your fishing skills, but you'll also learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, fisheries management, angling ethics and aquatic ecology. In addition to these free sport fishing events, mark June 24 and 25 on your calendar because it is Free Fishing Weekend throughout New York.
Here's a few of the upcoming events:
Saturday, June 24; 9-2: Rondout Reservoir Free Family Fishing Day Clinic at the NYCDEP boat launch near intersection of Route 55A and Yagerville Road/Route 46.
Wednesday, June 28; 11-2: Drop in Hudson at Henry Hudson Waterfront Park in Hudson.
