The Ulster County Sheriffs Office took part in the 14th Annual Domestic Violence Apprehension Detail. This event was organized by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office out of Oregon. The detail was set up to work with "agencies across the United State to serve outstanding family-violence warrants."  Last year the annual Domestic Violence detail took place in 36 states and made 1,761 arrest as well as attempting to serve 8,949 warrants nation wide.

Last week in Ulster county four men were arrested for family related or child support offenses.

Jason Byrd, 34, of Kingston
Failure to Obey Child Support Order
(released on his own recognizance)
Erick Lozano, 27, of Kingston
Failure to Obey Child Support Order
(remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $3400 cash bail and $10,000 property bond)
 Anton Armstead, 32, of New Paltz
Bench Warrant (non-support)
(released on his own recognizance)
 Enrique Plaza, 24, of Saugerties
Failure to Obey Child Support Order
(remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $9260 cash bail and $92,000 property bond)
Sheriff Craig Robinson of the Clackamas County police said, in regards to the 14th Annual Domestic Violence Apprehension Detail " It is our hope that together we can send a message to offenders throughout the U.S. that no matter where they flee, we will work together to find them and hold them accountable."
