It's been a tough few months for everyone around the Hudson Valley.

Our community went above and beyond to help each other in these uncertain times. When you think about it, the smallest gesture really went a long way.

Once again, we're thanking all of our front line workers who went out (and still are out there) every day and putting themselves in harm's way. As we all know the front lines have been redefined and our local grocery store workers showed up.

They put up with all of us as we bombarded the grocery store to get our toilet paper and Lysol wipes at an insane speed. They made sure we were getting what we needed to get through the stay at home order and they did so graciously.

One local company realized that and want to, literally, bring them some comfort.

Fleet Feet in Poughkeepsie is a well known athletic store with a focus on running and running shoes. They offer a huge selection of running shoes, running apparel and shoe fittings.

The folks at Fleet Feet realized that working at a grocery store, you're on your feet for hours on end. Especially during a pandemic.

So they decided to donate over 60 pairs of Brooks running shoes to the staff at Adams Fairacre Farms.

On the Adams Instagram page they shared a photo of the Fleet Feet team with a car full of sneakers and explained "Adams employees entered a raffle for the shoes, and the winners received their new shoes this week."

Adams added, "Thank you to Fleet Feet for your support of our hardworking employees, and special thanks to Adams Marketing Coordinator Jen Bernard for helping to make it all happen!"

We love seeing our community come together.

With phase 3 on the way, let's make sure to continue to show kindness as we move forward in the Hudson Valley.
