FBI: 5 Sold ‘Deadly, Illegal Drugs’ in Hudson Valley
Five were arrested for allegedly selling "deadly, illegal drugs" in the Hudson Valley.
Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and William F. Sweeney Jr., Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Division of the FBI announced the unsealing of an indictment charging five with allegedly selling cocaine and cocaine base in the Hudson Valley.
From at least 2016 until around October 2018, Ronald Miller, Jason Paradies, Frank Nesbitt, Corey Webb and Kiyon Webb conspired to distribute five kilograms and more of cocaine and 280 grams of cocaine base in and around Dutchess County, officials say.
“The insidious spread of potentially deadly, illegal drugs harms the small towns outside of the city in the same way it harms the big city. No one is immune to the crime and violence that accompanies the drug trade. The FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force would like to thank all the dedicated law enforcement agencies who took part in this and other investigations for their work in making our communities safer," FBI Assistant Director William F. Sweeney Jr. said.
All five were taken into federal custody on April 10 and April 11. If found guilty they all face a maximum prison term of life in prison.
